Are you with me?

This is my Mary Anne, in front of the youths... She works in Pusat Kebajikan Good Shepherd. Many people would ask her this question when she tells them where she works "do you get paid Anne?" and they always have this "Oh, you poor thing." look on their faces. On behalf of my fiancée, YES she does get paid, it's what people call 'a job', in case anyone out there forgot.

Good Shepherd is doing sooo many good stuff for all the people some you people out there consider as 'kampungan'. By helping these people, Anne has learned many things about them, how they live, what they eat, how they move around...

After listening to Anne's stories bout the people in the rural area, I have a new found respect for these Kampung folks, and until now, I always wished I had their lives. And sometimes I wished that I work in Good Shepherd for a change, it's like a dream job that I could never get.

It's sad to know that Anne does not get the support that she needs from even the closest people around her, "Geng, buka mata sikit! She is doing the work that is needed to be done!". I personally am proud of her, I'm not saying this because this lady here is my future wife. I'm saying all this because it's true. only a handful of human beings out there cares for other people, it's good to know that Anne is one of them. Anne, if your reading this, I'm with you all the flippin way, who cares what people think!

I support the movement of the Good Shepherd Sisters, come join me...

Food, art, more food, and more art...

Friday's with Reagan: pencil lines

The artist was asked to just copy a pencil sketch I handed her, the trick is, not to lift her pencil at any point of the drawing process, cool huh? It took her a bit of time to get used to this skill, not really that hard, but then again, not really that easy either.

All those who participated in this activity had a chance to produce a 'confident' artwork. My point is, when someone is doing a piece like what you see in the above, it's comes naturally that you will tend to plan your strokes for the next few steps.

When you plan your strokes, you will see all the steps that you are going to make, so, in this way you will have more confidence in executing the task. A lot of visualizing should be done in this planning stage, a lot of imaginative skills are put into use . For some, this is impossible, but it can only suck at the first time...practice makes perfect baby...

I hope you guys out there learned at least something from this... If you didn't, drop me a comment okay, then we'll discuss this more, provided if I could answer your enquiries... till then...

The things Egn see...

A kid and his brother indulging their burgers in McDonald's... Life is so simple when you were young, everything is complicated now, when you are grown up.... jealous sya tengok dia makan, happy betul dia, saya pula, makin sya makan makin sya sedih...hmm... Enjoy your McChicken while it last squirt..

All in a day's work.. An Indonesian man salvaging used water bottles in a huge monsoon drain, using a beaten bamboo raft, probably to be sold in recycling centres..took this pic during our trip to Jakarta last year.

Lintas Plaza, policemen circling a baby's body, I don't know what was in the mother's head when she decided to 'feed her baby to the dogs,' this event spoiled my whole day.

Hmm....Need I say more... Took this one at one of the shopping malls in Kota Kinabalu...
