friday's with reagan: acrylic on canvas

The artists worked on three panels, the one above is just one of them.
inspired by their own imagination, this art work is produced, hebat kan diorang.
not much to say, the painting can explain by itself, I think...
the theme for all the panels is "spirit".
from the word spirit, the artists came up with all sorts of image in their head.
which I think is really creative.
above, nikki outlining his angel wings.
most of the artists had a great time expressing themselves with pencil,
but when it came to painting, it was a bit challenging for them.
oh well, still have time to improve. but improvement has to happen fast.
they need to make it before the youth prep centre art exhibition.

the three panels. these guys berabis mau kasi cantik...hihi.
great job Nikki and Joy...

Christian youths sings

"Worship Rally 2006". It was a concert like Praise and Worship event that was organized by the youths of Sacred Heart. A night to be remembered! At first I noticed that the songs that were sung on that that night were pretty up-beat, modern and not at all pick from the hymm books, not saying that the hymm book is not good, its just that the youth could use some new songs every now and then...

  1. 2006 was the year the changed me, from skeptic to a believer.

  2. 2006 was the year that Lifeline ministry,Kota Kinabalu held a Camp that was attended by individuals who today are the leaders of that ministry.

  3. 2006 was the year that the formation of Lifefire Campus Ministry was prophecied.

  4. 2006 was the year where alot of hearts experienced Metanoia. chaos to cosmos. metanoia means change..look it up if the words are to big.

  5. hmm, 2006 was also the year that Brian "Head" Welch (right pic) , former KoRn guitarist turned Gospel Rocker, Started evangelizing internationaly to the poor.

  6. negative side, on the 6th of june 2006 was also a date that a group who are not really keen on believing God, came together to bring God down...thanks to them, all religion seems to be going stronger and stronger... did our left wing 'friends' found victory? off course not.

Anyway, back to my story, Worship Rally 2006, was awesome! hearts were healed, minds were opened, bonds were made. All done through the power of Songs, songs of praise and also worship. Music is one element that most christians can relate to when it comes to church activities. Music heals lah in short....heals anything, i'm a believer what more can i say...

we need more singing, more music in church doesnt mean thast we're disrespecting any side, its just expressing our gratitude creatively...so, come sing together, come praise together and receive metanoia as one body!

Easter Rally 2010

Day 1:
we were greeted at Kuching Airport by 2 angels, Audrey and Brendan, took us 'jalan-jalan' around kuching, I had a nice time taking pictures, and most of all, eating! Man the food is just gloorious!

We checked-in Tune Hotel at 2pm, had my nap, the pillow and blanket and mattress automatically became my best friends, siook tidur, I didn't sleep the night before because the amount of work I had to finish before the trip.

5.30pm got fetched and we went to Mass celebrated by this priest....aiya! I forgot his name... can someone remind me who it was? ..thanks. Anyways, mass was 'happening', not that it was loud with all the drums and guitars and stuff, it was because the priest knew how to celebrate a mass when the congregation consist of youths and young adults, during each process of the mass he took the effort to 'kasi paham' us what was happening. Mass can be a very symbolic event, and this priest made it seem so real (it is real lah off course)..sigh.. Praise God!

Day 2:

More jalan-jalaning, I kinda got one problem that time, I didn't have much cash with me that time so I could splurged on buying stuff, and the ATM was a bit difficult to find in Kuching, anyways, I still get to take a lot of pictures. It rained in the afternoon, so, we had to stay in doors fort he rest of the days.

This was the day I met Julius, my long lost Kenyah friend, who by God's grace, made a wrong turn into the street where I was standing, like most people who never met for a long time, we hugged, talked...but both of us were rushing so tidak sempatlah want to minum-minum.

At night was the concert, we had fun, the lighting for the stage were great and the equipments were superb, everything else were fantastic, surely this ministry is blessed with abundance of God's grace.

Day 3:
The sessions starts on the third day, we were divided to a few streams, optional to our needs, the talks were good, in a sense that I could apply them religiously and also practically in my own daily lives. all the rest of the sessions were just as great, the man-power for this event knew what they were doing, props to you guys in Empowered Ministry.

One of the streams was on worship leading by Cherlyn Chu Mariann, which I found very interesting and lawak at the same time.
She gave unions to all of us that kinda resembled our sins, the moment you peal your sins one by one, you will feel the pain of 'pealing'. haha... point taken Chu..

Day 4:
The last stream for the conference, we had washing of the feet, I got the privileged to pair up with Derek Chong, we washed each others feet, just like the gospel man.. It was fun. Me and Derek shared our visions for the ministry, joined by Jocelyn, Mirina then Denis.

We attend the Mass which was celebrated by His grace the archbishop John Ha and co-celebrated by Father Joseph Chai. Cool mass.

After mass was the closing ceremony. we sang, took pictures, laughed, took more pictures, exchanged name cards, took more pictures and laughed some more.... Then we were off to the airport to say bye-bye.

I met Jean and Julius in the airport, we hugged, we laughed, hugged some more and we bullied Jean, like the ol' college days. But it was all good. both of them are grown-ups now, more matured, more hensem and pwetty...hehe. alas, I had to say bye-bye to all of them...Jean, Julius, Empowered, everyone....

One thing I didn't plan to see were the Empowered gang gathering on a glass over looking us from above and they started dancing! Crazy bunch of people I tell you... The dedication they put in this service was tremendously huge!

Now, back in KK, and I still feel like they're just around the corner,hmmm...I miss them already...

hope to see them all again next year...

Keep me in your prayer as you I will keep in mine.
Till then...
